On October 8th-10th, Truro Raceway will be hosting Atlantic Canada’s premier Harness Racing event – the Atlantic Breeders Crown.
It’s been over five years since Truro Raceway last hosted this amazing event and this year is expected to be the greatest ever! It’s a weekend of fast racing, amazing talent and extraordinary social events. In simple terms, we just call it the Weekend Festival of Racing and for obvious reasons, you can bet on it that there will be lots of really exciting Harness Racing!

There’s nothing more exhilarating than cheering on your favourite two and three year old horses racing towards the finish line in the greatest races of the entire year! With three, four and five horses coming to the finish line together, you’ll be asking your friends “Did my horse win, or yours?”
The Weekend Festival of Racing will not only produce an outstanding event to showcase the very best of the Harness Racing Industry, but it will also display the amazing wonders of the Truro and Colchester County areas to people from Eastern Canada and beyond. The weekend will consist of $25,000 finals and $5,000 consolation races for trotters and pacers, special invitational races, social events and the NSPE Select Sale.
Proposed social events included a round of golf at a local club, a tour of a local winery, white water rafting on the Shubenacadie River and a banquet. Of course, the two days of racing are highly social events, which encourage participation by all. Whether you are a die-hard fan or a curious new fan, come to Truro Raceway to see the very best and most exciting racing in Atlantic Canada.
